Nicole Biggerstaff Vázquez
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Mrs. Biggerstaff Vázquez is the President/CEO of The Glorious Life Family Services Ministry, Inc. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelor of Social Work Degree, and brings with her over two decades of professional experience in leadership within the social services sector. Mrs. Vázquez has dedicated her career to helping those in need and has worked in various capacities, including domestic violence and homeless shelters, behavioral health programs, community health clinics, nursing homes, and housing programs for seniors and individuals with disabilities. She is also passionate about international missionary work and has contributed to initiatives in Ghana. Mrs. Vázquez is committed to providing compassionate and trauma-informed care to support individuals, families, and communities. Outside of work, she finds joy in managing her nonprofit, spending time with family and friends, documenting her family history, traveling, reading, and volunteering in vulnerable communities.
Cynthia Ellis
VICE-PRESIDENT
Mrs. Cynthia Ellis is a remarkable individual who serves as the Co-Founder and Treasurer at The Glorious Life Family Services Ministry, demonstrating a deep commitment to serving others. In her previous role as an assistant secretary at the Selah Women’s Fellowship Ministry, Inc., she showed dedication and compassion. Mrs. Ellis holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Geneva College and an Associate of Science in Accounting with a minor in business from the Community College of Allegheny County.
In her current role as a Senior Tax Consultant at the Department of Treasury, Mrs. Ellis continues to contribute her expertise and skills to serve her community. Outside of her professional endeavors, she devotes herself to assisting the community by serving as a Service Coordinator for children’s church at New Horizons Church and actively participating in bible study at both New Horizons Church and Zion Baptist Church.
In her leisure time, Mrs. Ellis enjoys traveling with her spouse David, planning social events, and cherishing moments with family and friends. She also dedicates herself to volunteer work for community outreach initiatives whenever the opportunity arises.
Ava James
SECRETARY
Despite facing the challenges of single parenthood and financial constraints, Ms. James has been a dedicated and nurturing presence in her community. She currently holds the position of Secretary and Co-founder at The Glorious Life Family Services Ministry and has over thirty years of experience supporting and guiding young women towards independence and economic empowerment. Ms. James, a proud alumna of Oswego High School in Oswego, IL, has been an active member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, and is currently serving as a Transaction Specialist at a nationally recognized bank. Her aspirations revolve around supporting and empowering parents in achieving personal and familial excellence, deriving fulfillment from familial and social engagements, volunteer work, career advancement, and exploration through travel.
Julisa De La Cruz
VOLUNTEER COORDINATION
Julisa is a compassionate healthcare professional on a mission to uplift her community. With a deep-rooted passion for caring for others, Julisa has dedicated her career to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around her. Through her tireless volunteer work, she has helped nurture a more compassionate society, bringing people together and inspiring them to lift each other up. Whether providing essential medical services or organizing community outreach initiatives, Julisa’s unwavering commitment to service is truly admirable.
